History
Copy Type Electronics (Pty) Ltd was established by Mr W Kirkwood in
September 1976 trading under the name of BOND & KIRKWOOD, Supplier
of General Office Machines. MERCEDES OFFICE MACHINE HOLDINGS, importer
of TOSHIBA Photocopiers and Calculators, was one of BOND & KIRKWOOD's main suppliers.
This company was headed by MR W KIRKWOOD, a shareholder and the majority
of shares were held by MOM and traded under the name of MERCEDES
ELECTRONICS NORTH (PTY) LTD.
In May 1981, MR W KIRKWOOD purchased all the shares of MOM. The company name of COPY TYPE ELECTRONICS (PTY) LTD was registered.
ENDEAVOUR FINANCE (PTY) LTD was formed to provide a Finance option to
the Blue Chip customers of COPY TYPE ELECTRONICS (PTY) LTD.
KAGO FINANCE (PTY) LTD and KAGO OFFICE AUTOMATION (PTY) LTD were formed
in January 2002 in order to meet the provisions of black economic
empowerment subscribed to by the South African Government thus allowing
our products the best possible opportunity of success with Government
tenders and black empowerment procurement provision. COPY TYPE
ELECTRONICS (PTY) LTD obtained the rights to import the range of DUPLO
Digital Copy Printers and consumables during 2003 and in 2004 the new
corporate headquarters on the N1 Lanseria / Randburg turn off were
completed.

of paper handling labour saving devices produce one of the finest
digital copy printers worldwide. These machines operating at 120 copies
per minute at a fraction of normal copying costs are ideal for the
education, pay for print and government markets.
2. TOSHIBA COPIERS & FACSIMILES
Toshiba one of the largest corporations in the world! Recognized as a
leader in the field of digital multifunctional black and colour copiers
and fax machines.

from 2 years to 30 years with our organisation.
Employment Equity
We fully subscribe to the Government Policy. In this regard De Loitte
and Touche (Human Capital Corporation) have devised, implemented, and
submitted our plan to the Department of Labour. Our staff members sit on
the Management Committee which formulates policy on employment training
and promotions. The administration of our non-contributory provident
fund, hospitalisation, chronic medicines, life cover and housing
assistance is carried out by the same committee. The majority of our
technical staff consisting of all groups have studied at company expense
and gained the City & Guilds Diploma, a widely recognised
qualification of the highest standard.
